          Major-General Joseph Kasaine Ole Nkaissery (28 November – 8 July ) was a Kenyan politician, serving as a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of Kenya from to , when he resigned to take up a cabinet position as Secretary for Internal Security and Coordination of National Government.

          Life and career

          Before joining politics, Nkaissery served in the Kenya Defence Forces since , rising to the rank of major-general in the Kenya Army.

          In , he was appointed the military assistant to the Chief of General Staff. He also served as a commandant of the Armed Forces Training College. He retired in December after 29 years of military service.[2][3]

          Nkaissery was elected to the National Assembly in and served as an Assistant Minister for Internal Security in the cabinet of President Mwai Kibaki from to Wh
